Default engine cutting out on acceleration

I have a 93 EX. It has a manual transmission. If i rev it up without a load its fine. when i shift into 1st and start to move the engine cuts out, and its like there is no power. I push the pedal down till it is almost to the floor, then it kicks in at about full throttle. Then it does it for all the other gears. could it be the tps? thanks.

Any stored codes? I didn't ask if it was on but if there are any stored codes.

Does this happen even when the car is cold?

Tune up items up to date?

it does it when i first start the car whether its the first time of the day, or after going into a store or something and coming back out. it usually does it for a little while and works its self out. last night coming home on about a 60 mile trip it started doing it a couple miles before i got home. so it does it when the car is cold and hot. no tune up items, ill have to check on the stored codes. thanks

What I meant by tune up -cap, rotor, wires checked, plugs, ect. Are they up to date?

I changed the spark plugs last year. the distributor and wires were changed before i bought the car probably 3 years ago.

Pull the cap and check the contacts inside the cap, also check the "end" of the rotor.

all contacts look good. including the rotor. I even cleaned everything up, and no change. It's an intermittent problem, it seems like it would be some kind of a sensor or switch or something. a distributor cap or something like that would be a constant problem, gradually getting worse. any other ideas?

Intermittent and no codes.....tune up items up to date...hum, this is interesting.

Anything specific about when it happens? Almost every morning but then hit or mis during the day?
