Default Engine noise/Steering

New to this forum, Name is John. Having 2 issues with my 05 coupe 2.4l.
Had 2 Honda dealers, check more than once, and car was pronounced
normal.
1. Engine noise. Best describe as valve noise, especially when cold and
while accelerating/driving, however noise always present just diminished.
2. Looseness in steering, from tolerable to sometimes rather clunky. Rack
seems OK. With engine off, and while turning steering wheel back and
forth, can hear slight metallic noise. Driven other Accords and steering
feels tight and responsive. Again dealer says no problems. Would aprrec.
any feedback.

Jack up the front of the car. Turn the steering wheel until it locks. Try to shake your tire in the 3/9 o'clock position and also the 12/6 position. It should not move much.

If it does, try to figure out what is loose. 12/6 is for the upper/lower ball joint. 3/9 would be the inner/outer tie-rod end.

OK, thanks for the tip. Like I said it's not bad, will look her over when
the weather warms up. Hate front end problems, sometime I feel they
only act up under load.
