Wink engine rebuild

I want to rebuild my engine and manual transmission this summer on my 89 accord lx. However, I am still new to auto repair, but I have experience fixing motorcycles.

How long do these procedures take? A week? A month? And what parts or tools will I need?

I am planning to do this in a couple of months, so I am trying to learn as much as I can before hand.

I'd get a manual from helminc dot com & read thru it. That's the best repair manual out there.

Yeah that will tell you how to do everything.

As far as time goes it really depends, could be done in a weekend, or take a couple months. since its your first time i imagine it will take a little longer.

You will need all new bearings and seals. The rest depends on how extensive you want to be. The only like specialty tools I can think of is a torque wrench(ft lbs and in lbs), feeler gauges, piston ring compressor..............stuff like that.
