engine smell and transmission question and engine revving
hey guys. im new to this forum. i drive a 2001 honda accord Coupe EX V6. i have a K&N cold air intake along with a Greddy cat back exhaust (give u some general engine specs there ;D). a few months ago i had to replace the whole transmission. i have a few problems. i notice a burning smell when i smell the grill area of the hood/front bumper(dont ask me why i smell my car haha)...also my car sometimes shifts on its own from first to second but most of the time i have to let off the gas in order for it to shift. and finally, this happens once in a blue moon, my engine randomly revs without me revving it. the CEL came on the first time it happened, and the code was P1399 which is a random cylinder misfire. i plan on putting it in the shop soon but are any of these immediate concerns?

The burning smell your probably smelling, is your radiator... Was it a new transmission you replaced it with? How many miles on this tranny? Im not sure on the engine code, but im sure someone will chime in...
the smell was just the burning of the armor all i use to clean the plastics in my engine lol my bad....i just always use that and i guess ive never smelt it before. still not sure about the code and revving. hasnt revved in about a week but when it does its very randomly
