Default Exterior mirror replacement

I have a White 2005 Accord LX i4 Automatic whose exterior passenger side mirror has been damaged, specifically the glass was hit on something and cracked and came off, but the rest of the assembly seems intact albeit needing new part(s).

The dealer said they need to replace the entire assembly because they can't order specific parts, but online (at sites like this http://www.hondapartscheap.com/south...a_White_)&bs=y) it seems I can order individual parts for the mirror.

I've attached a picture of what the mirror looks like right now, does anyone know the part(s) that I need replaced? I plan to order them online, and have the dealer install them.

Thanks!

It looks like you may just need the mirror #3/8. Maybe #4/9. I am not sure how the mirror is held on to the adjustment mechanism. You can also ask if they are able to install the new mirror or what parts you would need.

If you can order that part online, the dealership can. You can get the Honda part number from a site like hondapartsnow.com and call the dealership.

I would try to pick up the entire mirror of the same color at a junkyard (car-part.com searches by distance or price) and install it myself. It is pretty simple to do.

I was under the impression that the door needed to be removed in order to install a new mirror assembly.
