Is the clear coat coming off, or just hazy?

It is coming off. The hood roof and trunk. Maybe just buff it out?

If the clear coat is completely gone in spots, you probably will have to repaint those items. I am not sure how much paint work you have done, or how particular you are with your car.

It can't hurt to get a quote from an auto body shop to see if they can just put a new layer of clear coat on the car or repaint it.

I ended up sanding the car and spraying it myself. I had no experience painting a car before.

It came out pretty good. That is if you look at it from 50 feet away, while squinting, on a cloudy day.

Here is how it came out, I still need to sand the car down and paint another coat but I am going to that this spring.
