external coil & stall at half tank
93 Accord with H22 Swap, Automatic
Attempting to upgrade the external coil, I snipped the three wires going to the stock one, tied the yellow and the yellow/black together for +, the black and white for - and connected the cylindric MSD blaster coil, but it doesn't start. I must try again but I connected the original again and still nothing. Checked ECU and other fuses, lost.
Also I recently changed the fuel pump, the tank had to be lowered and is now strapped in with kevlar because the original straps were rusted, but it is level. Now when I get almost exactly to half tank, the car is guaranteed to stall when at a stop on a downhill grade. The fuel gauge has been not accurate for some time, but this is new.

were you getting insufficient spark? Honda Coils and ignition systems are among the best out there. I wouldn't mess with it unless there is an issue or desire to turbo or something... but even when my car was turbo'ed I didnt worry about spark.
