F20B overheating
yup it sure does!
im at a loss, ive covered everything i can think of and i got nothing.
could the ECM have something to do with my problem?
also ive noticed something else.
you know that sensor with on pin on it? right under the dizzy?
well before my swap i would have it unpluged and the temp would go straight to the H and past.
well now it wont, in fact if goes down below the C.
could this indicate a short or an open wire somewhere?

Put your year/model/trim in your signature. F20b/Cb7 doesn't tell me anything.
Based on your information, the most likely explanation is mis-calibrated thermister driving the temp gauge high when temperature is normal or damaged temp gauge movement. Based on 90 shop manual, resistance should be 142, 49, and 32 ohms at temps of 133, 185, 212 F, respectively.
Your experience of gauge pegging when single wire connector was removed from sensor suggests a short to ground in the harness side wire somewhere. Gauge should have gone to dead cold position when you removed connector. Also if there was a short and you allowed to go and remain at full hot, it may have damaged gauge movement. This warning is in shop manual.

and sorry for not getting on in a long time. got busy with school n stuff. and in the mean time i just took the t-stat out and had my fans wired to a switch i fliped when at a stop or in traffic.
your information is super helpful.
and if i read right your saying that its supposed to drop to c when unplugged and that before the swap when i would unplug it it would jump to h and that was wrong? ive sense replaced that sensor with the one for the H22 vtec DOHC and the fan switch as well with no luck. so far its never gotten to the H but very close. and i do not have a shop manual for this engine but i do for the F22a engine and im sure i can get one for the H22a engine, not sure about the F20B but ill be looking on the internet for one now.
followed the honda guy or whatever it is on youtube.
but yesterday morning on first start, after backing out of the driveway and then driving foward, i noticed white smoke trailing behind. It finally showed another symptom besides just overheating. so im pretty sure its a blown headgasket.
