ok here whats going on with all the details. i got a 94 honda accord 2 door with the f22b1 vtec and when i press the gas pedal down just a little bit it putt putts until hits about 3k rpms and then stops and its everytime i hit the gas just a little no matter how fast i am going..i can be doing 60mph and pres the gas a little and it does it.....heres what i replaced..... throttle positioning sensor(used) new distributor and buttom, newer wires new plus put in seafoam injector cleaner in the gas and it still does it any ideas?? please let me know. its buging me

 

So this has been happening for a while, no recent work prior to this starting. Did you "set" the tps when you replaced it?

Any stored codes in the ECU?

Only when the engine is warm or all the time? Sounds like if you "floor it" this does not heppen?

 

no work prior to this happening it just started one day...i jumped the wires and turned the car on to check ecu codes and the cel just stayed soil lite up for over a minute until i turned the car off....and i thought the tps was already calibrated since it was off a different car but same motor specs and everything....once you start the car its ok for a few min the it starts.

 

The tps is usually rivited to the tb. If you replace it, you need to be sure to calib the position of the new one EDIT: don't hold me to this, check a manual, I'm too lazy today- .5v closed throttle, 4.5v wide open.....if you replace the entire tb with one from another car the it should be fine.

Now if this issue only happens once the engine is warm....that leads me towards the egr ports being clogged, see the Common DIY Threads at the top of this section for a "how to clean".

 

ok guys heres what i did to fix it...it was the egr ports 3 out of 4 where clogged really bad and even under the actual egr valve was clogged..ty for all your input and help with this issue..it was actually really easy to clean..took more time cleaning then actually taking the fuel rail off.. but ty all for your help keep up the good work

 

FIXED... .....good job!

Please double/triple check there are no leaks from the injectors...please.
