Default F23A1 engine

hello my name is jason and i have a 99 accord with the F23A1-2.3L vtec with 5spd man transmission. I am looking into slapping a turbo in soon but i need to know what the maximum stock horsepower thefuel sysytemcan handle. I have been looking into turbos and intercoolers and everything ill need with the turbo but i need to know how much i can put on it before i do my mods. So if someone can help me out with this that would be great! Thanks!

would want to upgrade the injectors, but stock fuel rail should be able to handle whatever you throw at it.

x2 ...... injectors set your maximum power, a Walbro 255 never hurts, but everything else is good to about 800 HP. I think the OEM pump can handle about 200 WHP.

How much power are you looking to make?

Didn't we have an 8 psi max on stock internals rule on here?

I agree with going with the bigger injectors, DSM 450cc injectors should do the trick. Otherwise, when you're in boost, the injectors are going to be running past their 100% duty cycle at like 4k rpms. You can probably hold off on purchasing them until you go to tune it.

Your stock fuel pump should be able to supply the bigger injectors, but if you plan on boosting past 8psi you'll probably need the RC 550cc injectors along with a Walbro 255 pump.

Note that I said 200 wheel horsepower. Your 150 is more like 128 at the wheels.

And as Finch noted, 8psi is the limit on stock internals ..... 7 is fairly safe.

It's just more difficult to tune them without a VTEC controller since VTEC engages at different points and can really screw with the tune.
