I seem to have broken the fan **** of my 98 LX model. When I look at the ****, looks fine. The local parts store doesnt have this model.
1)Do I need to get the exact same model ****?
2)Can I use the existing ****? How do I fix it?

Get one at the dealer, they are inexpensive. And should be in stock.

 

x2- fan **** is a common breaking point. pull it off and put on the new one.

But first, check this. Pull the **** off. Make sure the fan control works OK by turning the shaft with a pliers. If it doesn't work, then don't bother buying a new **** until you find what's actually wrong.
