Fast Left Turn Signal

Fast Left Turn Signal
A couple of nighta ago my daughter reported the left turn signal on our 98 Accord sedan was extremely slow. Next morning the left signal was extremely fast. Figuring a bulb was bad I switched the front signal bulbs and the left signal was still extremely fast - right was fine. So I switched the back signal bulbs and the left signal is still extremely fast - right still fine. Hazard lights are in working order with all lights blinking. Do I have a bad turn signal switch or possibly a bad relay? Any guidance is appreciated.

Seems like flasher relay rather than the switch. But you checked the bulbs??
Got the right kind of bulbs? Mis-matched wattage might do that, or a bulb that's getting ready to burn out and draws more or less power than it's supposed to. Have you watched the bulbs flashing & compare brightness against each other?

The bulbs are the right kind, as they have not been changed in quite some time. I did not check the brightness, but when I switched then from left to right, wouldn't the increased speed have changed from left to right? Would I be better off trying to replace all bulbs before replacing relays?

Thanks Dr. I did find 3 relays under the dash on drivers side. I cannot find in my owners manual which of the three is for the turn/hazard lights. Would it be the top middle or lower relay that I should replace?

No need to remove any plastic panels
If u have smaller hands like me u don’t have to remove any panels at all. Look up while laying up side down looking at above the fuse panel. The gray relay is right there above the bright yellow connector.
Saved me at least an hour of time by not removing all the panels. One thing to add is to use a smaller pair of flat locking pliers to latch on the rekey, pull it out while pivot forward. Also it helps a lot if you just break the front locking plastic thing off first
