Check that you didn't leave anything laying in the engine bay. Is this a hood with a hinge and a prop-rod? Or does it have the struts that hold up the hood?

 

It's a normal hood with a prop-rod and a hinge. nothing special. I checked it a bunch yesterday to make sure the prop rod wasn't getting in the way or anything else. And it wasn't. I pulled the hinge and everytime i pulled it i could feel resistance, so the cable isn't broken I don't think. And I could hear the tick of something unlocking when i had my friend pull the hinge. So, I don't know what it is. It was dark and snowing so it was hard to see much but I'll take a look at it again today and see if i can find something. thanks a lot for responding man. appreciate it.
