Default Very technical timing question.

On an F22A4 ('90 EX) there are two balance shafts of course. One on the left side of the crank(radiator side), one on the right side(firewall side of motor). They are both of course driven by the balance shaft belt.

Now, the one on the left is driven from the belt going on the gear that is directly bolted to the end of the balance shaft. The other shaft, on the right side, however, is not. It has the belt gear which is meshed with another gear that is on the balance shaft, so there is two gears, and so the balance shaft can spin in the opposite direction of the opposing shaft.

Now that you know what I'm talking about, the question is how do you mesh the gears in time on the right balance shaft?

ok, first install a suitable balancer shaft holder into themaintanence hole. now prep and install the drive gear assembly so that after it's installed the mark on the pulley is pointed at about 5 o clock(it lines up with a mark on the block).
get it?
