Hi, Just bought my first accord. Too bad the euro specs looks like ****! Sorry if i offended someone, not likely but..

My car is: 1996 Accord CD7 European model (CE7)

However the americans got a hell of a beauty compared to our, (CD7) so here is my question.

Is it possible to fit the CD7's front bumper cover on my CE7?


Second question, if so, how much hastle?

Other parts that needs to be replaced? Such as headlights, grille, hood?

Never having even seen a CE7 in person, its hard for me to say. But the bumper set up(behind the cover) looks different than that of the CD7.

I know here you could go to the junkyard and get a bumper cover for $20 or so. You might want to do this just to see if it'll fit.

 

The problem is that it aint that easy.. I live in sweden, so to get my hands on a cover would cost me near 120-200$ with shipping (ebay).

Fact:
The chassi behind the cover on my CE7 DO differ from the CD7. But not much, and it shouldn't be. The obvious is the grille, glass shape on headlight, the hood. it's all "mod-able" in my opinion. But on second thought, i've never modded a car before, so what do i know..

Oh so the CD7 was never offered there at all? So you would have to order the bumper(possibly bumper support), head lights, grill, and hood from the USA? That seems like it would cost more than its worth, plus probably still having to modify it to fit.

I will say that the front end without the bumper cover and head lights on does look pretty similar to that of a CD7, but I doubt all the bolt holes are in the same places.

 

Yup, that's my dilemma. At this point i really need to take some thinking time if its really worth it in the end..
Still not sure if its really so comprehensive as it seems.
