Default Front Brake Pads

At 135K , I'm still running the original front pads. Probably about 4 mm left, should I change now since I'm doing other work to the car or leave them alone till I get to 2mm?

One service advisor didn't believe me when I told him the front pads are original!

What other work are you doing? How much duplicated workcan youavoid?

If they're replacing the axles or wheelbearings they have to take the brakes apart. So it would be silly to put the old brake pads back in.

If they're replacing upholstery in the back seat, they won't need to touch the brakes.

The only work to be doine is a rear seal leak (which most people probably got tired reading on this forum)

Ha ha, I even posted to that other thread; I wasn't paying attention to who you are.

Anyway, he probably doesn't have to take the brakes apart to remove the axles & tranny. Maybe ask him if that's the case. If he doesn't already take the brakes apart, there's not much saved labor by doing them together.
