Cool fuel pump(anti-theft) toggle switch

I just bought a 94 accord with a toggle switch running to the fuel pump for anti-theft issues. I shut off the toggle before turning off the engine and the check engine light came on and shut down the car. After re-starting the car, it runs really rough when I accelerate. the car starts shaking and it acts like its not getting enough gas.? also, the light that comes on usually around the ignition wont light up green like it should and always has. HELP! I'm a single mom and need to fix this without a mechanic fee if possible.

Can you tell us what wire colors are running to the toggle switch?

Check for engine codes. It is simple to do. Just follow the instruction on this thread.

Oh, and the check engine light went off when I flipped the toggle to off and then on again to start my car. The car runs, but acts like its only running on 3 cylinders or has a spark plug wire off. it idles rough also.

I'm wondering what wire the previous owner used to install a kill switch.

Check for engine codes anyway using that link I mentioned before. The engine computer can store codes even if the check engine light is off.
