Gaslight.
I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX V6 and my gaslight stays on while I'm driving. I checked the gas cap and its ok and I also filled the car with gas to make sure the needle was working. I also disconected the battery to see if it will reset but nothing. Can someone please help me? Thanks.
That light is controlled by the fuel gauge sending unit in your gas tank. In the trunk (or maybe under the back seat), there should be a 4-pin connector underneath an access panel.
Unplug that connector. If the light turns off, then there is a problem with the sending unit. The black wire coming out of that connector is bolted to a ground nearby. You car may not be set up like that. Clean that ground with some sandpaper, then re-tighten.
If the light stays on after you unplug the connector, then the yel/blu wire is grounded somewhere between the sending unit and the cluster.
