Honda Accord 1.8 Auto 1999. Idle rough when engine cold, OK when warm.

Anyway, not much to go on here. I'd start with cleaning the FITV and the IAC....Check the Common DIY Threads (second from the top)...shouldn't be too much difference on the 1.8L.

Thanks for your help.the cleaning has made a big improvement on the idle speed.

I live in Scotland.

My pleasure but really that was a stab in the dark.....kind of sounds like it is not perfect, can you give a few more details and maybe we can help more?

Next on the list would be a good tune up (dist cap, dist rotor, check the wires, spark plugs). Unlees it was done recently

And please don't take my question about where you live the wrong way, it just helps to know that your car is not US spec.......not much difference but a little
