Governor Chip
Ok so I punch the gas on my 16valve 94 accord and it starts shooting down the road... but when Im hitting about 120 the computer chip(or so I think) kicks in and shuts off the power to the accelerator. Not like I go 120+ every day but when I want to get it up there I can't. Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this. New chip? Removal? Whats going on with my car? Thanks for the help.

RE: Governor Chip
There are a lot of aftermarket standalone ECU's and Chipped ECU's that will remove that governer, but try to save those speeds for the track.
Hondata will remove it.
I think the ECU upgrade from Jet Chips will remove it.
There are many other chips for the ecu that will remove it, but there is no secret wire you can clip yourself or anything.

Seriously. Not too long ago there were some kids speeding in an integra. They had to be going at least 110 and they had no expirience at those kinds of speeds whatsover. I think the police determined that the kid turned the wheel ever so slightly and lost control and smashed into a cement power line. I saw the pictures of the accident and the motor of the car was 100 feet from the rest of the car. Needless to say, the kids in the integra didn't make it.
No one is telling anybody not to speed, but high speeds demand a level of respect and skill that many drivers just don't have. If you so much as hit a bump at such a speed and don't know how to keep the car on the road, that could be it.
