Default H23 Swap

Hey,

I got a 2001 accord lx.4cyl. F23 engine and auto tranny. Can I do a H23 engine and auto tranny SWAP? Is it a easy fit? My accord needs new engine and tranny soon and i dont want to get the same one again so i am looking towards performance upgrades. Thanks

I moved your post to a new thread, so the original thread doesn't get confusing.

I think the US H23 engine has less HP than the H22.

You might want to go with a H22 from a 96+ prelude that will be OBDII as well. I think the 96 prelude ecu does not have an imobilizer, so that will make things simpler for you. Do your homework before considering this swap. I think that there is a lot out there about this swap, so do some google searches.

I think the H23 non vtec only has 160hp, so only 10 more then stock f23a. Might as well go with the H22 if you want more power. But even with the stock H22 won't make the Accord a fast car because of the weight to hp ratio, but 3rd gear and up it will pull much harder than f23a because of DOHC vtec.
