I noticed I have a small, BB sized hole in the top of my lens, maybe 1/4 inch or so from the top edge. You can see the very small pieces of glass inside. Anyways, I thought it would be a good idea to put a small dab of clear silicone on there to seal it and keep any moisture out. Any negative thoughts to this idea?

 

That sounds like a good plan to me
