More information is needed first.

Is this a sedan or coupe?

What is the brand, part number and type of bulbs?

I have used sylvania (several lumen levels) and recently bought G1 LED's. The same problem with both bulbs.

Were they all LED lamps? Those hardly ever have the correct location of the actual light source so they don't work correctly with the shape of the reflectors & lenses.

If the housings on your car weren't designed for LED bulbs, then the odds are very high replacing the OEM bulbs with LEDs will negatively affect your light output. I recommend going back to OEM style bulbs and call it a day.

If you really want to convert to LEDs, then you should buy a new set of after market housings designed for LEDs (if such a housing exists).

You did not indicate whether your car was a sedan or coupe, for the low beams, they use different bulb types and headlight housing.

The coupe are projector type, whereas the sedan are reflector type.

Had to do a google search, but, you probably bought JDM Astar G1 bulbs. I do not know if these LEDs have a beam angle adjustment capability. The beam angle is critical especially when used in a reflector type housing.

I currently use PIAA 9005/9006 LEDs bulbs, which have adjustable beam angles. They do not and cannot increase the beam throw; but, have better visibility than than any halogen bulbs I tried (including Philips 9012 HIR halogen bulbs). The PIAA costs more; but, are a good quality safe bulb, no glare.). In rain, the white light isn't that useful though.
