I've noticed that the drivers side door mirror doesn't heat up as much as the passenger side. Wondering if you can replace the element on these cars or better trying to find one at a scrap year

Heating elements are probably on the back side of the mirror glass, so repair is probably just replacing the glass. New or scrap yard, either way.

If the problem was circuitry in the car (or a blown fuse), I'd expect it to fail completely off.

 

I would think a car with 63000kms wouldn't have a weak element already. Could it be the power supply ?
