several tries to get the panel off and i wasn't able to do it while the door was shut. on the passenger side i was able to get it off. i guess i will get hit in my pockets from the dealer and go ahead on and take it to them. thanks a lot.

i am still unable to remove it because the door is shut. and the mirror srew is inside the door.
