HELP! found my lost hotwired accord
Poorman, I know you were joking. I was joking too.
Accordrulz - repair everything that is obvious. I doubt that the two pin connector is critical to your car. Once you repair the ignition switch, start the car and make sure the headlights, turn signals, brake lights, wipers, windshield washers, heater, a/c, .... works. If the car will not start, or something is not working, then we will have a better idea of that the connector is for.

yea def., i ordered the switch and just waiting for it and will let u guys know what happens. One quick question i could just plug the ignition assembly to the connectors and not attach the bracket just to test it right?

hey guys i got my used ignition assembly but no luck. I dodnt attach it to steering column but just attached the two wire harness'. The key light and noise were present in the used ignitoin switch/lock but when i turned to second position the dash lights did not light up. Have no clue what to do was pretty sure this would fix it.

the thing is that the old ignition assembly is broken in half are you saying to use my ign switch in the new used assembly? Also, i tested the used one by connecting the connector and harness in pic 1 but did not actually mount it with bracket could that be an issue and if not should i start to check the main switch for continuity?
Get a volt meter and do some electrical testing.
If you go to the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link to online shop manuals where you can get a 94 shop manual.
Do the electrical tests for the 7-pin connector. The white wire going to that connector should have 12V.
Having that switch hanging will not stop it from working.
What is happening when you turn the key? Absolutely nothing?

Hey,
Im new to the forum, and i thought i'd chime in because im having an eerily similar issue. This morning someone unsuccessfully attempted to steal my 95 Accord. They pried off the ignition assembly and destroyed the electrical portion of it in the process. Naturally i went and purchased a new assembly and installed it. After installation, it beeps as normal when the key is inserted. When i move it to position "ii" , instrument panel does not illuminate, blinkers, wipers, windows, etc. do not respond. Headlights will illuminate however. And when you try and start the vehicle, nothing happens. Not even a "click". Ive changed the assembly in this vehicle before (not due to attempted theft) and its pretty straight forward. Its almost a "plug and play" type installation (for lack of a better term). Do you think "theft/forced entry" being a common denominator in both cases could be a vital key in diagnosing our issue? Cant be coincidence can it? Anyway at the very least maybe my situation can allow someone who is more mechanically inclined to put a feasible theory together. Ill keep scanning the forum and web for more info and similar cases. My accord is @ 335k+ so im also considering just moving on...

For both of you, you may want to use a volt meter to see if the ignition switch is making the proper contacts when you turn the key to the II position. Get the shop manual that I mentioned in my earlier post.
You both need to figure out why you are not getting power to the proper places.
