Why did you post this twice?

Why are you stepping down from a g35 to an accord?

When buying an auto 6th generation Accord (98-02 model) you need to be aware of the transmission problems. Honda had a recall because the auto transmissions in that generation were pretty weak. Do some searching around on the forum and you will find out more about it. Before buying it make sure that trans is not slipping or shifting real hard. I believe the extended warranty the transrecallproided was good for 7 years or 100k miles. So with a 2000 model, you will be out of warranty pretty dang soon.

1. Talk to the birds in the pet store. The ones that listen to you have a good shot at bonding with a person.
2. Buy male. They are much more social than the females, though some females can be good ones.
3. When you get the bird home, limit its toys, and make sure it doesnt have a mirror.
4. Spend a lot of time talking to the bird. A lot of time. You can repeat a word if you want him to learn it (mine says ****), but just talking randomly to it works really well.
5. Slowly try to get the bird on your finger and let him out of his cage (dont clip the wings). Move slowly and deliberately.
6. Eventually, with a lot of patience, the bird will learn to respond to your voice, and will bond with you, seeing you as another bird. The bird will want to spend timewith you. They are dumb.

If your bird is older, you can try, but it is much much harder to break them of habits / fears at that point.

That;s enough off topic...
