This car is taped together with pieces from several different cars... No telling what all has been rigged up on it.

The engine is a f22a1 -- auto transmission -- Ok, anyone know which other cars have transmissions that will fit?

Any auto trans from a 4 cyl Accord from 90-97 will fit. Depending on the donor trans there might be some minor wire issues - connectors not matching up but the wires are there.

Yes, the F and H series engines take pretty much the same trans - prelude, yes.....acura of some sorts, yes.

What I'm not clear on with those is where the "year split". I know the Accords went to an electronically controlled trans in 98....I do not know when the prelude went to the electronic controlled trans.

Ok, so installed external trans cooler.. attempted to flush trans (disconnected lines, drained pan, started car, added fluid while catching old fluid in bucket) -- it was clear red fluid, put it in drive, started changing creamy red.. kept adding fluid, would not clear up at all. I let about 15 quarts flow through there, and it still never cleared up 100%.. Tested shift cable. Tried to manually put in reverse, still grinding.. Ugh
