Default Hi... I have a question about a Damaged Accord...

Ok, So I have an odd question.

I just bought a 1994 Honda Accord at an insurance auction. In all honesty, I accidentally bought the car due to some internet lag and an mistaken bid amount, so I probably got ripped off on it.

The thing has front end damage, but it seems to be very limited. The bumper bracket has obvious damage, but it doesn't seem to be too bad, and it needs a new headlight/bumper cover/hood/fender. The radiator and everything beyond it appear to be fine and undamaged.

The thing I am curious about is... What all hooks up behind the lower driver side bumper? I know the windshield washer fluid bottle goes there (And is gone on mine), but is there anything else? I see a few hanging cords... and I am a bit worried that something important was there and damaged in the wreck.

Here's some pics, so you know what I'm talking about:

My guess is directional blinkers...My 1993 has them in that area of the bumper. Also could be for the aftermarket headlights on your car.

Question Hello New Member

Welcome to the HAF...

Did they sell you this car with a salvaged title or a regular title. Most states stamp salvaged on the front of the title, so that's where to look.

I finally got it home, and you appear to be right. It's the blinkers, and I'm thinking one is an ABS sensor.

Any idea where I can pick up ONE aftermarket headlight? haha. I got mine to work, but i'd rather have a matching set.

I am happy to say that the car is a great runner/driver, which makes it a pretty good deal for the $875 i paid. Even came with a full tank of gas. I just got to fix the damage and it should be right as rain.

I would stick with OEM headlights...You might be able to find a set on EBAY from someone who installed aftermarket lights and is selling the originals. I have seen too many aftermarket lights that have hazed lenses and condensation/water in them due to wet weather. You may find a set here on this forum in the classified section. One of the electrical cords in the pics may also be for the ABS wheel speed sensor. Check the right side behind the rotor on the bottom edge and compare it to the left side location.
