Honda Accord 1992 DX Help.
I'm not sure how frequently or how long you were running the engine with high temperatures, so you should try the test I suggested when pulling the radiator cap on a cold engine. It is a quick test and may identify a headgasket problem.
Air in the cooling system can also cause strange idle problems. You may want to get a radiator pressure tester as a loaner tool most parts stores have. Pressure the radiator to ~15 or 16 psi and see if your cooling system can hold that pressure.
Another fairly simple test is to do a compression test on each cylinder just to verify the mechanical part of your engine is working properly.
A quick test for the EGR valve on your car is to unplug the vacuum hose going to the EGR valve and plug the vacuum hose with something like an old spark plug. See if your problem goes away after running the car.
