I was having problems with my driver side window which the windown didn't go down i was able to locate the problem which was the physical cable for the window and i repaired it. However now i'm having an electrical problem with the console that controls all the other windows and the locks. The locks work when the car is on and doors are closed which leads me to assume it has something to do with my factory alarm. I did reset the battery and I did open up the door again to check if all the cables were connected correctly. I don't want to go deeper into the car without some type of advise so please if you had a problem similiar to this let me know!.

 

so, to clarify, your door locks only work when the car is running and the door is closed? if the car is off, the door locks don't work?

start by checking all of your fuses.

 

Right.......the door locks and power windows only work when the car is on or the key is in the ignition and yup the locks won't work if the car is off. I'm going to buy new fuses for the power windows that might be the problem.
I checked the fuses and everything seems to be fine i took out the fuse for the power windows and it looks fine i turned on the car and nothing changed. Also it's only one fuse fo the power windows you think that fuse might only be giving a small amount of power to be working for only the individual windows?
