Default Honda Accord 2023/2024 1.5T Major issue

Hello everyone, someone from a Honda Accord Telegram group sent this photo of his engine.
The damage appears to be on the exhaust valve which is broken! This seems so strange to me given that Honda is known for its reliability!
Plus several other people have had problems with the spark plugs where they break or even melt!!
What do you guys think what is the cause for these problems. Could it be the fuel running lean/rich? Or Pre-Ignition? Give me your thoughts please!

There are a bunch of root causes for a valve burning/breaking. A severe rich or lean and misfires should trigger the check engine light. Modern cars can monitor the misfires counter from the knock sensor and the fuel trims will monitor rich/lean. A decent scanner would be useful to monitor these items.

More likely is the valve could have had a manufacturing flaw with a weakness that eventualy led to a failure with heating/cooling cycles. The valve could be designed too thin where typical wear could cause a weakness. Not much you can do if this was the actual cause.

Finally, a tight valve would overheat and cause this type of failure. Over time, the valve lash on top gets smaller/tigher as the valve wears into the cylinder head. It is important to do test the valve lash and adjust the valves at the recommended intervals to prevent this from happening as hondas use a solid valve train.
