Honda Accord lx 2000 4 cyl :A/c fan turns on but radiator fan does not
The A/C fan on ( runs) but the radiator fan is not running causing car to overheat. If I gently tap the middle central cover of the raduator fan then it turn on. Would I need to buy and install a whole radiator fan assembly or this problem can be something else ( fuse, relay , etc)? What could be the problem? What can I do to check what the problem is?

To be 100% sure the fan motor is bad, you could unplug the radiator connector and connect a test light. A headlight bulb would draw enough current to show the relay and wiring can supply the amps to the fan motor.
Having the motor turn on when hitting it pretty much narrows down the problem to a bad fan motor. You can get just the motor and use the original assembly/shroud to save some money.
Another tip is to turn the heat on full blast to help cool the coolant and prevent damage from overheating. This should only be used in emergency situations. You need to fix the problem to prevent engine damage from overheating.
