Hi, I have a 1998 Honda Accord. It has about 200,000 kilometresIt on it and it runs beautifully.

Recently A mechanic told me that I should have the Timer Belt replaced. My car was running well but the mechanic said if it the timer belt should go bust then every else would go bust.so I had him replace.

Now, when I start my car I hear a loud whistling sound and some other odd sounds when I start my car . By the time I back out of my driveway he noise stops.

it worries me. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

 

Noises are tough to diagnose over the web. Did you have this noise before he replaced the timing belt?

 

No, there was no noise before I had the timer belt replaced as advised by the mechanic.

Can I still safely drive my car until I get an appointment to see this mechanic?
