Also be aware that the tires on the accord are rated H (130 max speed).

130 is the maximum speed the H-rated tire can handle for a 10 minute interval. After the 10 minutes @ 130, the tire has a much greater chance of failing. Going that fast isn't worth your life.

You need to do a hell of a lot more to that car before you start thinking about top speed!

I can't speak for other members, but personally, I'm cool with you doing whatever you want with your ride, and I'll do my best to help you accomplish it..........but once you start talkin' about top speed, you really gotta make sure you've got that car together, otherwise it will start comin apart at tripple digit speeds....and tripple digits are the last place you want your car fallin apart!

I am sorry but i am not going to allow you to help another member brake the law and possibly killing himself or others...Honda Accord Forum could stand a chance of a lawsuit should anything would happen to him for aiding him or advising him .....

if you want ,you can get his personal E-mail and help do whatever , but i will delete anything you suggest to him in this forum

I agree with DesertHonda and will keep an eye on this thread.

Going that fast in public is a danger to everyone around you. The accord isn't really built to go that fast.

If you want to have fun driving your accord in a controlled environment, you should try to find some local autocross groups. It is a blast going through the cone course, and you may get to 30mph. People modify their cars for that as well, but more with suspension, turbo, to get more low-end power and control.

You guys are being really presumptuous! How am I helping anyone brake any laws?????? He didn't say anything about doing top speed runs on any public roads, nor did he say anything about breaking any laws. Also, it's pretty clear that the admins of this forum don't condone law breaking, so a lawsuit would be virtually impossible to win.

I do however have a problem with censorship. I think that your point of view is pretty fascist and closed minded, and if that's the way things are around here, then you can just go ahead and delete my account right now. I don't want to be a part of a public forum that condones censorship and displays a fearful mentality towards free speach.

No hard feelings, I just can't support that type of policy and/or mentality!

CHIP my man,... last i checked going 110 on any streets other than a legal racing circuit IS breaking the law...and i guess by reading his comments ( car tops off at 110 ) he already broke the law .......

Chip , I do not know how old you are or if you have any kids that drive.. but i wonder if you would sing the same tune if one of your kids was driving on a public road at 110 mph,, would you say ( son, daughter) let me give you some pointer on how to go faster or would you chew their butts for fear of their safety .......something to think about, seeing that you such an open minded person

Like i said ,,you are entitled to your own opinion,, if you want to give him pointers get his E-mail and do it privately..,
