Default Horn on after battery replacement

I have a 2007 Accord LX cylinder. I was away for a few months and when I returned, the battery was stone dead. It was low before I went away because had been driving it very infrequently. So, today I just put in the new battery and now the horn pulses on and off (like it would if I used the panic button on the remote fob) . The engine started right up but horn continues and I can’t make it stop unless I disconnect the battery. I have replaced the battery before and not had this problem.

Anyone know what’s going on here?

Try locking the doors with the remote, then unlock with the remote. Then try starting the car to see if the security system is disabled.

That’s a weird issue. It sounds like it could be related to the alarm system or the horn relay getting stuck. When you replaced the battery, the system might have reset or gotten confused. You might want to check if your alarm system needs a reset or if the horn relay is malfunctioning. I had a similar problem with my old car after changing the battery. I ended up replacing the horn relay and that did the trick. Also, if you’re thinking about upgrading your horn, https://bosshorn.com/ has some awesome train horn kits. I put one on my truck, and it made a huge difference in how well the horn works.
