Horn chirp when starting
I just purchased a 2012 Accord 2.4 LX Sedan yesterday and I can't seem to find out how to disable the chirp from the horn that happens every time I turn the ignition on.
I looked online and in the owners manual and have come up empty handed.
Anyone have any ideas
Thanks!

Does the car have an aftermarket alarm? Some dealers have KARR alarms installed and don't always fully uninstalled them even when the customer doesn't want to purchase it. Look under the driver's dash lower cover to see if there is something attached.
It kind of sounds like an issue with an aftermarket alarm. Because if it was something like the horn harness shorting against something like the SRS module retainer (an issue with a few 2013 Accords), then you probably would have the horn sounding by itself at different times too.
If the car is still under warranty, you may want to have the dealer look at it.

I took it into the dealer, it was related to the alarm system. I guess this particular dealer has security settings for all their vehicles on the lot. The horn honks when starting and when the doors shut, they automatically lock after five seconds. This was a simple 10 second reprograming and the problem is solved.
Thanks for the reply!
