Default how do you check spark?

I have a 93 ex. It wont start. It cranks and cranks but wont start. There is fuel pressure. How do you check spark besides holding the plug to the block and cranking? Any ideas on what the problem might be? it started by cutting out on acceleration, now it wont start at all. I replaced the main relay last summer after having trouble with starting when it was hot. There are no stored codes. thanks

to check spark the easiest get a $1 spark plug anywhere and, after dark,
pull off the individual boots, insert plug, still hold against block after dark,
someone else crank, swap boots.
Don't know how else.

A good test is to spray 3-5 secs of throttle body cleaner or starter fluid into the air intake and attempt to start. If no-start continues, you can be sure no spark is present.

Another way is to use a timing light attached to spark plug lead. If timing light flashes, then spark is occurring. No flash means no spark.

good luck
