I had a garage work on my 96 accord LX that the AC had stopped working. They charged it and put UV dye in on Oct 18, 2021. It cooled for a while but in late November it stopped cooling. I wasnt able to take it back to the garage until lhe last week of December and they are telling me they cant see any dye and need to recharge it again. Shouldn't that dye stick around or does it evaporate quickly?

 

The dye doesn't evaporate. Did the shop find your system low on charge?

 

Yes they did, they re charged it and put UV dye in they said.
