Default How Much Power Steering Fluid Needed For 1996 Accord?

I'm going to change the power steering fluid.

How much fluid is needed, assuming all the fluid is drained?

Also, I presume any brand of fluid made specifically for Honda cars is OK, and I don't have to buy the fluid directly from a Honda dealer.

Thanks,

Robert

I doubt there's many people on this site that wouldn't tell you to replace with genuine Honda fluids. When I've done drain/refills on the Trans fluid I simply measure all the captured fluid in a measuring cup and put back in the exact same number of ounces. From there I can then drive/check/add according to taste.

I'm going to have this done for me, so I need to know how much power steering fluid to buy. Should I buy one or two 12 ounce bottles?

Thanks,

Rob

I would get at least two 12 oz bottles. Only use Honda/Acura Approved PS fluid, I get mine from a local parts store that has the Valvoline/Pryoil brand Honda/Acura PS fluid.
