Default How to remove or rebuild rear caliper

Hi guys, anyone has experience with replacing rear caliper or rebuild a rear caliper?

I am trying to rebuild it or replace it in a 2001 Honda Accord 6cyl depending how hard it is. However, I do not know how to remove the parking brake line from it. As it is not mentioned in the Chilton or Factory service manual or in this forum.

Thanks!

If it's anything like the older accord set ups the cable be easy to get off. Just like a break cable on a pedal bike. Has the cable has a knot that slides in and out of a hole to allow you to put on and take off. But I don’t have any hands on with anything past a 97 accord.

Thanks! I am going to try. I thought the hand brake system is hydraulic, anyway, it makes much easier if it is not.
