Default i need help!

drive a 99 accord ex v6 and usually i get about 24-25 mpg and i just filled up and got freakin 19.5! its been hovering around 21-22 for the last month i say and its ridiculous. what could be the problem?? my tires are good and inflated tho my rear tires are kinda loud when i drive. whys that??

also, the backlight for the clock when out. is it a fuse thing??

if anyone could answer these three questions, i will greatly appreiciate it!!

thanks

Have you checked/replaced the following:

Air filter,PCV valve,spark plugs,Oil,etc...

Also,The gas you put in maybe was not as good quality as the one you put in when you got the 24-25mpg.Excessive weight, speeding often and so many other things contribute to loss of gas mileage.

Yes, 19.5 from 24 isn't a huge loss... give it a few tanks and see if it stays the same or goes down to start worrying...

The clock has a light bulb that goes out often. I just replaced mine the other day with one I ordered from our sponsor TAS Auto. I'm sure a Honda dealer carries them as well.

you might want to jack up the car and see if the tires spin without much resistance. Brake cylinders that are starting to seize can cause a large drop in gas mileage.

^^^ also, wheel bearings starting to die.

FYI - my 2000 V6 used to get about 18.5 MPG ..... warming up on an autostarter, all city driving, hitting 7000 rpms every time I took it out, dyno tuned for DD fun
