Default I think daughter totaled 1996 accord

The front right quarter panel, grill, front bumper, hood, and right headlight and pilot light smashed. The only engine damage was radiator (that I can tell so far). Engine still cranks fine and will go into gear. Windshield is smashed and both front airbags deployed. Other than that it is all good! It was running fine but has lots of highway mile 298k. Is this car totaled???

I would say yes. Will definitely cost more than the car is worth to repair it. Could it be repaired with junkyard parts and drive many more miles? Definitely.

Really up to you. I would try and find a new one probably. Maybe one with engine problems that you could take parts off this one to fix.

Any idea what it will cost to replace both front airbags? Honda service is closed today so I am short on answers.

You can get replacement airbags on eBay or car-part.com for cheap. From the dealer will be insane.

I agree with Live, if you have the means get something else and you may be able to use parts from the one you have depending on what you get.

On the other hand, I had a jacked up toyota 4runner (mud truck) that at no fault of my own was in a front end collision that damaged many of the same parts as your honda plus some more and i was able to replace and fix it for not to bad of a price tag via a couple bone yards and it continued to be a great truck after repairs, infact i ended up selling it due to the rise in gas prices and used the money from that sell go straight purchase the 96 ex that i drive today!
