Default I think I goofed up with hose Routing

the antifreeze hose running into my FITV burst the other day, so of course, when one goes the others are not far behind. Bought new hose and replaced them all, but I think I may have mis routed the 2 small ones coming out of the T-stat housing going into the valve, and the throttle body respectively, because now I have the telltale honda idle surge when it warms up. So does it go top hose to FITV and bottom hose to throttle body? or vice versa?

Refer to attached cooling hose parts diagram for routing.

No problem. If the hose routing is correct, then it may be air in the cooling system that needs to be purged.

Good luck.

I seriously think I crossed the routing. after looking at the diagram.

Not the problem. hoses were routed correctly. i had an older IACV that I swapped out to see if that solved the issue, nope. it will idle fine until it comes up to temperature, then it starts surging from 900-2000k Rpm back and forth.

Search for a how-to thread about tightening the plunger inside the FITV. I haven't actually done that myself so it's better for you to find that thread.

its tightened all the way down. it will idle fine in gear, slightly high, but when its in park or neutral, its surging.

1. Did you try to purge air out of the cooling system yet?

2. These attached images are instructions for diagnosing an idle fluctuation on 90-93 Accords, from a February 1999 Honda Service News.

I did, yes. all the air is purged out of the cooling system.
