Default Internal coil to external coil conversion, 1990 dx/lx bastard car

I have a 1992 accord lx with a 1990 dx f22a1 motor and five speed. I feel that i have issues with my dizzy because i lose all power after about 4k rpms. I have replaced fuel filter, pressure regulator, plugs, wires, cap, rotor and air filter, also I have good fuel pressure. I was given a dizzy from a 1992 lx that is known to be good but its external coil where as mine is currently internal coil. I searched but cannot find info on how to make the swap. Also my tach does not work which leads me to believe its the icm, anyone know how to test tach signal from the dizzy. Please help

Suggest replacing or repairing your distributor and avoid complex rewiring issues and non-standard arrangement.

See following link to diagnose ignitor/coil issues.

good luck
