Keyless Key Fob Accord 2013
Howdy yall,
I hope this would help others with the key fob problem issue. (something for the toolbox)
The Key Fob Keyless Entry remote was not working. The lock, unlock, panic, & trunk button when pressed would not obtain a response from the vehicle. The honda accord (see signature) would not receive the transmitted signal from the key fob. After doing research such as checking/testing spare/back-up OEM remote, remote battery change, car battery removal, keyless module transmitter unit, gauge cluster dash flashing lights & etc. This is what worked for this current situation revolving around this circumstance.
The solution that did work, again every situation & car is different but this is what had worked so far and possibly would work for others if others troubleshooting attempts are exhausted.
All was done was removing the "back-up" fuse from under the hood which was 10 amps and re-inserting it back into the slot. All the time it took was inspecting it and returning it (merely 60 seconds or less?). Followed by doing the same with the "audio" fuse which was also next to it.
Both fuses appeared to fine (continuity check etc...)
Not sure what actually fixed the problem, but suddenly the remote worked. The car responded with the blinking/flashing and horn.
Notes prior to: the key fob when near the vehicle, the door handle sensor was still working which allowed to manually & physically lock & unlock the door.
the key fob when near & in the correct proximate area of the vehicle, the car still was able to push-start and turn on without issue. Nothing else electrically or mechanically appeared to to have been noted to stop or failed to work, such as brake lights, interior map light, turn signals, radio, air condition, radio, etc.... everything had worked and operated normally. Only problem was between the key fob remote & the car not being able to communicate sending/receiving/transmitting the command/signals.
Thanks again, great forum.

Thank you so much. I have the same car and had the same problem and did so much reading and thinking. I stumbled upon your post and the first thing I did: pulled out the two fuses and put them back in and wallah! The feature isn't worth the $250 diag dealer fee much less the retail $500+ module. There's the TSB about it that just says replace the module and when I asked the dealer how much would performing the tsb cost, they said in the end between $1000 and $1400. So thank you again.
