I have a 1996 Honda Accord and am having problems with the keyless entry system. The range seems to be really retricted and often I have to move around the car and push the button several times to get it to work. I have replaced the battery in the remote thinking that was the problem, but it doesnt seem to work. I only have one remote so I can even determine if the problem is with the remote or with the receiver in the car.

Any guidance anyone could provide me would be appreciated. Any advice on where to buy a second remote and how to program it would also be useful.

and if you search the forum you can find the instrucitons for re-programming a remote.... does your remote have a little light on the top of it to show that it is registering they button you are pressing is being pressed?

In response to your question about the remote, yes the there is a small light that goes on when I press on the button. Does this help in troubleshooting the problem with the remote? Does anyone know where the receiver is located? I was thinking the problem might be something simple like the antenna falling off and I'd be able to fix it myself.
