I have 2000 Honda Accord about 123,000 miles. Just had the works done to it in feb. For $1700 I got new timing belts, water pump, tranny tranfusion, wheel bearing on the driver side, tune up, brakes and rotors(front)..hmmm think that's it! Well went out of town, about 2hours into trip(about 35mins from dest.) I noticed the temp went up slightly but went back down. Parked got when to get something came back started car temp went almost to "H'. Turned it off right away, check coolant...None!?! Filled tank(not radiator, too hot), went to hotel let it sit all night. Checked in morning...nothing(noticed NO leaks on the ground) again...Filled tank again and put some in radiator(as advised by a mechanic). Drove great on the way home about 1 or so from home car was getting hotter again(again no fluid) after while the temp was staying high. Parked and then noticed alot of fluid leaking near timing belts/towards the back of the engine. Any ideas???? So worried because I just spent my saving in FEB on my baby girl(honda)....BTW...Sorry about novel..NOOB HERE!
THANKS!

Is it 4-cyl or V-6? They're so different they may as well be separate cars.
On the 4-cyl, the water pump is located under the timing belts, towards the back of the engine... Since the pump is new, I'd say go back to the shop that did all the work. If it's a bad pump, they may cover it.
Meanwhile, keep checking the reservoir & the radiator. Don't wait for it to overheat.

4 cly..all fixed now. The shop left the pressure valve( the thing to release air from the radiator) open so all the coolant was leaking from there. On top of all that they left a tool for the tranny transfusion on top of the engine...lucky nothing serious happen. Thanks for the help!!!
