Looking to buy 09/10 Accord...
Hey everyone
I'm looking into buying an 09 or 10 Honda accord, both EXL 2.4 5Spd manual cars but I have few questions.
I tried the search function
But I didn't understand if there was a final solution to premature wear of the back breaks. Is it as simple as installing aftermarket break pads ?
Also can both of these models support listening to your music from an iPhone via Bluetooth ?
Thanks in advance.

The rear brake pad wear issue was for 2008, 2009, and early production 2010 Accords. Late production year 2010 Accords had revised rear brake pads.
Honda revised rear brake pads consist of different pad compound and instructions to check the upper and lower rear caliper slide pins and switch as necessary. The new pad compound and switching of the slide pins would help the brake pad wear problem.
For 2011 and 2012 model Accords, Honda also revised the rear brake caliper.
So, in summary, the rear brake pad wear issue has been resolved, for the most part, even with OEM parts.
For the 2009, only the EX-L with navigation has Bluetooth. For 2010, Bluetooth is standard. The Bluetooth is principally for Hands Free Link for phone calls, etc.; not really for music.
Both 2009 and 2010 Accords, had a port for an auxiliary jack inside the center arm rest console that will accept auxiliary input from standard audio accessories using a 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) stereo miniplug.
You may want to see my post #2 in this thread regarding some differences between the 2009 and 2010 Accord. Subsequently, Honda has now excluded the V-springs from the revised rear brake pads sets.

There was a class action lawsuit settlement that already expired; so, there wouldn't be any free or lower costs service or parts.
I wouldn't even worry about it, if the rear brake pads need replacement later, then just change them with the revised OEM pads or aftermarket.
