Default Loses all power at around 4000 rpms, no codes at all

So I have gotten my accord running properly noe except...It will only make power up til around 4k rpms. The coil, igniter and ecu are all good and matching. car is 1992 lx auto swapped to 1990 dx manual, harness ecu engine and tranny all from same car. Please help, this makes merging or passing difficult at best

Description suggests engine is operating in "limp-home" mode; ie it's missing some key sensor inputs and operates in a simple open-loop operation to keep engine running.

Is Check Engine Light working and on/off? If on, you need to get the codes and post them for help.

good luck

Is it like a rev limit or just won't go?

Did you re-check the timing.

Its not like a rev limiter because ROMs still climb, just basically ROMs climb but acceration basically quits, kinda like trying to accelerate from 20mph in fifth gear

Many years ago, I had a blocked catalytic converter cause your symptoms. It wouldn't pull hat off your head!

There are tools to measure differential pressure across converter (drill holes and measure pressure, then plug holes).

Alternatively you could simply remove converter temporarily and see if that resolves problem.

good luck

Suggest measuring manifold vacuum pressure at idle and under driving conditions. See youtube videos by realfixesrealfast for "vacuum test".

Vacuum (manifold pressure) provides an indication of engine condition and problems, allowing diagnosis.

good luck
